A Letter From The President NCCA - November 2016

A Letter From The President
November 2016

Dear Nederlandse,

Welcome to the November edition of the NCCA Newsletter.

With some of the recent changes at the NCCA, it has been quieter than usual, however we are having an action-packed finish to the year with some great events!

We held our AGM on 27 September where we presented an overview of the many events that we have organised over the past twelve months. Furthermore, we were pleased to report that the Chamber is in excellent financial shape, which is allowing us to provide additional benefits to our members over the next twelve months and beyond! As always, the AGM was followed by Networking Drinks where the attendees were able to catch up and look forward to the next exciting period for the NCCA.

On the 21st of October, we held our Quarterly Economic Breakfast where we were honoured to have Matt Reid, Partner at PwC's Real Estate Advisory, update us on what's happening in the real estate industry and how it is impacting our environment.  There are few sectors that move us, and the Australian economy, as much as property, so it was a fascinating update from one of the industry's key thought leaders.

Next up we have a special one-off event: The extensive Dutch trade mission that is accompanying the state visit of the King and the Queen will be concluding its visit to Australia in Melbourne and we are pleased to co-host a Special Networking Reception together with the 80+ trade mission delegates on Friday 4 November from 5.00-7.00 pm at the Langham Hotel.  This event is in association with the Netherlands' Embassy and Consulate-General and complimentary of the NCCA.  You will have seen previous communication on this event and it has sold out very fast, however we do have a waiting list, so please visit our website,or send us an email at info@ncca.com.au.

Finally, but certainly not least, our signature End of Year Dinner will be held on Thursday 17 November at the beautiful Alto Room at the Langham Hotel.  We are pleased to announce that our new Ambassador Erica Schouten and our new Honorary Consul Richard Mendelsohn will be our guests of honour and provide us with their observations of their respective new roles.  With the fantastic support from our Supporting Partner the Langham Hotel, this key annual event is a consistent sell-out where we celebrate the year that has been and look forward to the year to come.  Don't miss your chance to book your tickets, visit our website here.

As always, we hope you enjoy reading our newsletter and we look forward to seeing you at our next events.

Met vriendelijkegroet!

Sander van Amelsvoort
