Insects, future food and feed
We are currently with 7.6 billion people on this earth. In 2050, this will be 9.8 billion and 11.2 billion in 2100, according to the United Nations. Following the population growth, meat demand will also grow by about 70%. At the same time, we already use 80% of the total land area ifor rearing livestock. It is clear that all these figures simply do not match up. We need a more sustainable and secure way to feed our future generations.
