E-Commerce Seminar: How to reach the Chinese consumer online
Chinese consumers spent $750 billion online in 2016 - which is more than the US and the UK combined. During this seminar, our expert panel will discuss how these Chinese consumers can be reached effectively. Arno Nieuwland (e-Commerce Hong Kong) will tell you what to remember when developing an e-commerce platform. Boudewijn Feith (Esprit) will talk about an omnichannel strategy: how can offline and online sales be combined? John Skalin (Sino Etail) will talk about the differences between doing e-commerce in China and the Western world, e.g. when it comes to product presentation. Nathan Jansen (1421 Consulting) will discuss the e-commerce trends in China and what opportunities this brings for foreign companies.

China and the Netherlands have established a trade relation via the ancient Maritime Silk Road since the 15th century. Nowadays, interconnection and mutual trade between the two countries is not confined to the Maritime Silk Road. The Netherlands is the home to Europe's largest port – Port of Rotterdam. It is a connecting point between the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the Silk Road Economic Belt, the two main components of China's "Belt and Road Initiative".
