| Dear Reader, My name is Sven de Bruijn and I was born and raised in the South of the Netherlands. Who am I? I am an enthusiastic twenty-year-old guy who faces life with an optimistic view. I have a passion for sports and besides that I love to explore all the beautiful places the world has to offer. My passion for exploring and broadening my horizon made me go out of my comfort zone last year, so I went to Kenya for six months for my internship and worked at an off the beaten track travel agency (Charlie's Travels). During this period, I got to know myself even better and I gained a lot of experience in analytics and digital marketing by working in a marketing management team in a different country, with a different culture than I was used to in The Netherlands. I loved to get in touch with the new culture and learn the ins and outs. Currently, I am in my senior year of the bachelor Marketing and (Leisure) Management at Fontys of applied sciences in Eindhoven. Besides my internship in Kenya and my major I also finished a minor in circular economies last year. During a period of six months I gained information and learned a lot about this subject. A significant part of my bachelor program focused on research, writing accompanying analytical reports and strategic plans. I became familiar with the various research techniques and how to analyze them. For example, during my internship in Kenya I did my own research and made a marketing report out of quantitative and qualitative research. Besides my research, I also gained experience in marketing analytics. But the question that may rise, is why the United States? The reason why I would like to start a new adventure in the United states consists out of several reasons. I love new challenges and I am convinced that I am able to improve myself even more in a new and different environment then I am used to. In addition to that, I visited the United states twice, including Arizona. From the first moment I arrived, something that really stood out to me was the mentality from the people. I would love to be around in such a working environment to be able to improve myself. The reason why I would like to take my next step in my career in Arizona is also because my Dutch girlfriend is a student at Arizona State University and plays for the women's soccer team from the university, so it already feels like a second home to me. I would like to add that I am able to take care of the visa that is needed to be able to work in the United States. Like I pointed out in a previous paragraph, I am in my last year of my bachelor's degree of Marketing and (Leisure) Management. I will graduate in July 2020, during my last year I have to finish a six-month internship period. In this last period of my bachelor's degree, I will gain even more experience by doing research for a company and making analytical reports, before my new adventure in the states! After graduation in July 2020, I would love to start a new adventure for a period of 9 to 12 months (and maybe even longer). Lastly, I am eager to put my skills to use in a wider range of opportunities.
